WHAT I LEARNED THIS WEEKEND:

The Lord has recently been teaching me about ‘one-ness’ in relationships, and the closeness needed between a husband and wife in all areas, from decision making, to discussions, to prayer and agreement.

I was also given the opportunity on Friday night to share the importance of this ‘one-ness’ in a relationship with a young man who is getting married this month. I am glad that this is a common movement of the Holy Spirit that I got to take part in.

God has given me spiritual gifts I need to learn more about them, let God work in my heart, use them for my husband, children, the unsaved, and the body of believers. To God be the glory, now and forever.

~Kim

I thought I was beyond God’s redemption, grace, mercy and love, but in the deepest, darkest, emptiest, most hopeless, broken areas inside me, God shined His marvelous light upon me. He cleansed me with clean water and removed the filthiness, the shackles of shame, guilt and death, and adopted me as His child! Thank you Lord!

God wants to multiply and pour out in my life: compassion, kindness, prayer and intercession for others, a generous spirit and hospitality.

~Anonymous

Lord, I have been blessed by you this weekend. I was able to realize how much I need to spend time in You, to hear you, see you and receive you in my heart.

~ Anonymous

The best part of this weekend was feeling the presence of God, especially as we sang praises under the evening stars. I enjoyed Wes Johnson’s teachings on prayer and Afshin’s challenge on living in community, and I trust that I will be challenged to spend those quiet moments before God and in His Word, and that I can continue to bless others with love and compassion.

~ Doreen

At this conference, I was able to see the kingdom of heaven in different ways through Afshin, Patrick and Wes. I was most impacted by the sweet presence of the Lord and the times of fellowship and community, and also the personal ministry from Afshin. Also, it was great to see God glorified through the baptisms at the lake. As a result of this conference, I want to spend more time just listening to the Lord- to see what the Father is doing and then to pray and go forth to do those things.

~ Erin

I was mostly impacted by Afshin’s words and testimonies, and have left this conference feeling refreshed.

~Rick

What impacted me most about this conference was learning Wes Johnson’s “Lectio Divinia” method of prayer and meditation upon Scripture, and also the personal ministry Afshin Javid gave to me—he spoke some truth I needed to hear. What I learned this weekend will bring me closer to Christ. Thanks to Jamie F for inviting me.

~ Jamie

I enjoyed the whole conference! It was a good mixture of worship, prayer, learning from the pastors, alone-time with God, fellowship with others, and fun. I was impacted by the worship, the teachings on how to pray more effectively and to connect with the Lord in different ways. Also, the baptisms were really meaningful and encouraging to me. I learned so many things and will apply them to my life. As a result of this weekend, I will have a more intimate relationship with the Lord.

~Tiffany

I was grateful for Wes Johnson’s practical prayer suggestions and activities that helped me to look at prayer differently, and as a result, I can now pray in different ways. I was also glad to spend some time with Afshin, who taught me even further ways of looking at Scripture and God that I wasn’t aware of. It was great to see how God uses and speaks through

~Noelle

This weekend, God came and met me. I was given a challenge to let God choose who I will spend time in fellowship with. I mostly enjoyed the Question and Answer time with Afshin and also his sermon. Thanks to Mellissa Javid who worked tirelessly to feed and care for all of us.

~Andra

This weekend, I felt a sense of Christian community as never felt before, not even in church. There was genuine brotherly and sisterly love for one another. I especially enjoyed hearing God speak through Afshin. I know God loves me, but this weekend I FELT it! Thank you for a wonderful and inspiring weekend. Let’s do it again next year!

~ Diane

It was great to get together as one big family of Christ—meeting, getting to know and talking with different people. As a result of this weekend, I have increased encouragement and hope for the future, and a greater understanding of the importance of community. Thanks to Chelsey Childs for her encouragement, pictures, love, friendship and fellowship.

~ Nicolette

This weekend, I leave greatly encouraged that God is still moving, and the reality of life in Christ is still alive. I am refocused: God hasn’t changed,, He is still healing, delivering, saving and maturing us. I especially enjoyed the teachings of Wes and Afshin, and fellowshipping with like-minded believers.

~Corrie

I mostly enjoyed the teaching on prayer and the worship this weekend, but also seeing the willing hearts, desire and obedience for God in his people. Thanks to Chelsey Childs for having so much faith in me always and for fighting for me.

~Evelyn

This weekend, I really appreciated Afshin because he so openly loves and shares himself freely, and also Brian because he so deeply loves God’s people. I enjoyed the unity of the people, and the love, peace and joy found here, and the instruction about how to be quiet before the Lord. I also learned to find all my answer’s in God’s word—and to seek his answer’s before man’s.

~ Wendy

The whole conference was great! There was so much friendship; I was blessed by all! I especially enjoyed the praise and worship, and learning to pray for my needs in a new manner.

~Elaine

I love what you guys are doing for our father. May he richly bless you in all things and in your ministry. I have been amazingly blessed this weekend.
